Yummy Summer BBQ Chicken

This guy at Smiths Marketplace gave me the
best recipe for this pulled BBQ chicken!

And after being at the hospital
for most of the night, I wanted to
just take it easy today and this is the perfect recipe for that!
It doesn't require a lot of work at all!
And with only 4 ingredients, I had to try it!!!

What you need:
1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
2 TBSP of Butter
1/4 cup Honey
and about 1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2-4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts

Start by boiling chicken, then
add all ingredients in a bowl.

Mix until blended (there will be some butter chunks in there).
 Microwave for about 30 seconds.
Mix again until well blended and creamy :)

Once chicken is done, shred and add into bowl of sauce.
Mix together and serve on a bun!

It is so yummy and seriously so easy!!!
It takes about 10 minutes to make :)

See how happy the husband is over this :D

Maternity Wear: Summer Lovin

I'm back!

My laptop crashed a bit ago (def. time for a new one!)
and even though we have 2 other laptops, I really like using mine,
so now that the husband has completely restored and fixed it, I'm back!

Yay, feels so good to have my own computer back!

Anyway, this weekend was the Summer Fest Fair in the city that my mom lives.
So we decided to go and get some yummy fair food and do a little bit of people watching :)

As I get bigger and bigger, the outfit choices have been sparse.
But I'm making it work as much as possible with clothes that have been buried deep in my closet.

Since it's been about 90 all week, I wanted to wear to something lightweight and breezy.
And there is nothing better than a white summer dress for just that!

This isn't a maternity dress, but worked perfectly!

Lovin on my bump!

And I just have to brag a little bit.
Today was the first day I've ever done a little girls hair.
I was pretty impressed with my first timer skills and props to all moms of little girls.
This little booger would not sit still!

Oh another eventful day was when I got to be on the Daily Dish with
these lovely group of ladies for My Chic Bump.
Cutest group of moms to be!!!

And I'm finally doing my maternity pictures this weekend.
Carnival style!
Can't wait to see how they turn out!

Homemade Chewy Granola Bars

These are amazing!

My mother in law gave me this recipe a while
ago and I finally made them last night!

Really so yum and apparently oats help with breastfeeding! Who knew?!

Okay so what you need:
2 1/2 c. Oats, quick rolled oats
1/2 c. Rice Krispies (I used the chocolate ones)
1/4 c. Raw coconut (I get mine from the organic section at Smiths Marketplace)
1/2 c. Milk chocolate chips
1/2 c. Light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 c. Butter, softened
1/4 c. Honey
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

**You can substitute any of the ingredients for something else.
Like if you don't want to use rice krispies you can use sunflower seeds
or if you don't like coconut you can use flax seeds :)

What you do:
Add all the ingredients and mix together until combined.
Press into a 9x13 pan and bake at 350* for 18-20 min.
Cool for 10 min. and score into bars. Let it set completely
and then cut into bars.

They are seriously delicious! I could just eat them all day long :)

29 weeks 4 days!

I can't believe I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant with only 10 more weeks left!

I have absolutely nothing done yet.
We still need to pick up and set up the dresser and crib!
And paint and decorate and register for the baby shower!

I'm going to force myself to tape off the nursery today
so it can be painted hopefully by next weekend :)

As the weeks get closer and closer to baby's due date
and as baby boy has been using my ribs as a punching bag for
the past couple weeks, I've been seriously freaking out about labor.
I really don't know how I'm gonna get through this!
I'm being such a baby I know. But it's a very frightening thing to think about.

I was thinking about taking a Lamaze class but I really don't
want to spend money on it, so I decided to YouTube some
Lamaze videos and found an awesome one!

It's pretty long, but so informative and has eased my nerves so much :)

The woman teaching the class has such a relaxing and gentle voice!

It really has helped me feel more prepared for labor so I definitely think it's worth watching!

Anyway! I can't wait to start taking pictures of the nursery progress when we get around to it ;)
